Metamorphic Processes and Computational Petrology
Understanding earth requires an integration of different disciplines of natural sciences. Our research focuses on the study of rocks that during their geodynamic evolution experience high pressure-temperature conditions. For that reason, modelling the mechanical behavior of rocks, metamorphic phase equilibria and fluid related physico-chemical processes that occur in the earth’s interior is essential. In our research, we incorporate this multidisciplinary approach using computational methods, field-observations and geochemical-geochronological data.
